As of September 1, 2018, the Ministerial Decree regulating the amount of the toll and the toll sections will be amended in several points.

Thanks to a development made by the National Toll Payment Services Plc. (NTPS), an increasing number of toll declaration operators will be able to introduce convenience services for carriers.

As of 1 April 2018, Slovenia will introduce a modern electronic tolling system for vehicles with the maximum permissible weight over 3.5 tonnes (heavy vehicles).

The number of carriers using the fine alert and low balance warning services offered by the National Toll Payment Services Plc. free of charge is on the rise. These two functions largely contribute to the correct use of on-board units and enable road users to avoid successive fines. In view of the modification of the rules of the imposition of fines for unauthorized road use as of 12 November 2017, their importance is expected to increase.

С три езика се разширява списъкът на езиците, на които са достъпни услугите на устройства за планиране на маршрута (терминали), намиращи се на места за продажба на системата за събиране на тол такси, пропорционални на действително изминатото разстояние (HU-GO). Националната компания за услуги за плащане на тол такси Затворено АД взе решение за разширяване на езиковия пакет въз основа на статистиките от декларациите за платените тол такси на чуждестранните ползватели на пътищата, тъй като българските, сръбските и словенските товарни превозвачи от години представляват висок процент като купувачи на релационните билети.
