From January, it will only be possible to buy route tickets on the HU-GO website
From 1 January 2025, the possibility to plan a route ticket through a kiosk will be abolished. From this date, it will only be possible to plan and buy route tickets on the website of the HU-GO electronic toll system, at hu-go.hu.
Fine alert restart
National Toll Payment Services Plc. has responded to the request of the carriers by making the fine alert function available again. The functionality of the relaunched fine alert is temporarily different from the previous version.
E-tolls: the table of toll rates applicable from January is now available
The infrastructure charge element of the electronic toll to be paid in proportion to the distance travelled will increase by the rate of inflation in August, while the external cost charge will remain unchanged from 1 January 2025.
Changes in the e-toll system from mid-August and September
The number of basic tolled sections will be extended for vehicles over 3.5 t from 1 September 2024.

Decree 196/2024 (VII. 8.) Korm. of the Government amending Decree 209/2013 (VI. 18.) Korm. of the Government on the implementation of Act LXVII of 2013 on distance-based tolls payable for the use of motorways, expressways and main roads was published in the Hungarian Official Journal.
