Changes in the HU-GO e-toll system from 15 March 2020

In his Decree No. 8/2020 (II. 28.) ITM, the Minister for Innovation and Technology has amended Decree No. 25/2013 (V. 31.) of the Ministry of National Development (NFM) on the amount of the toll and toll roads. The new Decree will enter into force on 15 March 2020.

Pursuant to the amended Decree, the amount of toll to be paid in the HU-GO distance-based electronic toll system is raised by an inflation-indexed rate of 3.4 per cent.

The amount of toll from 15 March 2020 onwards:

The toll is a gross amount (HUF/km) that includes value-added tax.

An additional change is that the section of Expressway M4 between Üllő and Albertirsa, opened on 7 February 2020, will be a toll section in the HU-GO distance-based electronic toll system. The amendment of the Decree affects Main Road No. 4 as well, mainly through renumberings (Main Roads No. 401, 404, 405, and 406).
